Koshi Jime

Koshi-Jime - Hip Strangle

Koshi-jime

Koshi-jime - the hip strangle (classified as Okuri-eri-jime by the Kodokan) is applied when uke is on all fours, tori slips the furthest hand around to the furthest collar of uke and uses tori's body twisting to apply the strangle. The motion of the closest leg advancing encourages this and applies a strong strangle.
