Kubi Nage

Kubi Nage - Neck Throw = ILLEGAL

Kubi-nage is an illegal technique, but one that appears in the Dan Grade theory syllabus as well as Gonosen-no-kata. This technique is very similar to koshi-guruma, but can also be performed as a seoi-nage type-movement.

Looking at the Koshi-guruma idea, simply move your arm so that it wraps around the uke's neck (kubi meaning neck). Then use this as added pull for the technique.

Obviously, any resistence to this technique could cause major spinal damage - hence this being an illegal shiai-waza
