Ude-hisigi-waki-gatame

Ude-hisigi-waki-gatame, the armpit lock, also known as Karada-gatame (Body lock) if more than just the armpit is used to apply the lock.

Many variations of this technique, the above the classic version. Tori's armpit is rested on uke's elbow and the arm bent against the elbow.

One can only assume that this was one of Jigaro Kano's favourite armlocks, due to it's constant appearance in Kime-no-kata!
